Well.. ours do. My husband and I are raising four daughters and in our family we choose not to believe in limiting stereotypes, even if they are based on reliable statistics. Though often correct, statistics only tell us about the past. Our beliefs tell us about our future!
The change we want to see in society, may very well start in the family. Tell your girls they are good at maths and science! Present science in a way that will fascinate THEM. Get them to learn the basics of a coding language - just because every child should. Problem solve together and savour THEIR way of thinking! Let them take you on a journey to their universe of wisdom. Condition their brain (puzzles, games, chess, maths - whatever). It's important they have a positive female role model, so, mothers, get involved! And if you weren't interested in science and maths yourself, well get interested now! Because the change, as always, starts with you!
